How the site is built

Tarot Anatomy is a set of static pages served by Cloudflare. There are no accounts, no comments, no forms and no email list. Nothing you click on a card page is sent anywhere.

Cookies and visit counting

Visits are counted with Google Analytics. There is no advertising.

Google Analytics sets two cookies, _ga and _ga_7VWTE4WSZZ, so that a return visit is not counted as a new visitor. They expire after two years. The count records which pages were opened, the page that sent you here, the type of device, and roughly where the visit came from, which Google works out from your internet address.

In Europe a banner asks first, and Google's code is not loaded until you press Accept. As a second safeguard, Google itself sets no cookie for visitors from the European Union, the United Kingdom and Switzerland until they accept. Elsewhere, counting starts when the page opens.

Your answer to the banner is kept in your browser, so the banner does not come back. To change it, use Cookie settings at the bottom of any page. Declining also deletes the Analytics cookies.

What stays in your browser

The site keeps two small notes in your browser's local storage, and never sends them anywhere. tarotanatomy.consent holds your answer to the cookie banner. noga is used only by the site's owner, on her own devices, so that her own visits are not counted.

Children, and your rights

This site is not directed at children and asks nobody for personal details. The visit counts described above are held by Google, not by this site, and are not tied to a name or an email address. To stop them, decline on the banner or block cookies in your browser.

If any of this changes, the change will be described here, with the date it took effect.
